Established in 2017, KEHILA - The Israeii community in NRW brings together families, couples, and individuals who maintain a deep connection to Israeli culture. We believe that it is possible to create a space where the Hebrew language lives and breathes and Israeli culture blooms. Even thousands of kilometers from home.

Do the activities cost money?
Yes, there are fees for participating in some activities. Members enjoy discounts or full subsidies in cases of financial hardship. The funds are used to cover the expenses of each activity.
Is Everyone in KEHILA NRW WhatsApp Groups a Registered Member?
No, we currently allow non-tourist guests to use community services provided they live in NRW. This helps us expand our community network and strengthen connections between different target groups, including exchange students, artists, and professionals in the area.
What Does it Mean to be a KEHILA Member?
Being a member of the Israeli Community in NRW means you take an active part in its diverse activities and participate in decision making within the association Members pay annual membership fees, which help fund the community's administrative expenses.
What Are the Benefits of Being a KEHILA Member?
Community members enjoy several advantages:

Who Gets Paid for Community Activities?
Fees are intended to cover costs, such as venue rentals, website maintenance and the emergency hotline, instructor budget, and materials purchases. Beyond these expenses, all activities, including board members and planning teams, are based entirely on volunteering.
Who is Considered a Member and Who is Considered a Guest?
Members are those who pay the annual membership fee. Guests are occasional participants who don't pay the annual membership fees and therefore don't enjoy all the benefits of KEHILA.
Due to our community's recent growth, upcoming events will soon be restricted to members only and won't be open to guests, due to capacity limitations.
